Life Driven Purpose

Contrary to what silly preachers like Rick Warren say, our lives are not driven by a divine, imposed purpose from above. Rather, as Dan Barker says, we have a purpose that arises from the circumstances and experience of life itself, a Life Driven Purpose.

“There is more to the world that I can ever experience, by a wide margin.”

  1. Reblogged this on drndark.

  2. Great video. Thanks for sharing. And what a marked contrast between the vision of life that’s being offered here and the image of the “God of the Bible.” The “bully” versus the “vista.” No comparison. The splendor of the universe wins, nature wins, and humanity in its best aspects of humanism and humanitarianism wins over this “monster” of our paleolithic past. Thank you again, Mike, for posting these outstanding pieces.
